22-year-old Utah resident Tyler Robinson has been arrested in connection with the killing of Charlie Kirk.

Robinson’s father recognized him in the FBI photos. Robinson confessed to his father and a pastor who was brought to the house, who in turn called authorities.

Voter registration records show that Robinson is registered to vote unaffiliated with any party, although he is also listed as an “inactive” voter, meaning he hadn’t voted in at least the most recent two general elections.

Long an advocate for civility, Utah Governor Cox asked Americans to use Kirk’s assassination as an inflection point to turn the country away from political violence and division.

There is NO definitive proof at this point that Robinson is Republican or Democrat.

Trump said Kirk “was an advocate of nonviolence” and said, “That’s the way I’d like to see people respond” to his killing.

Republicans and Democrats are arguing again in Washington DC over a government shutdown at the end of this month.

Trump says he is sending the National Guard to Memphis to address crime concerns there with the support of the mayor and the governor.

The suspect on trial for trying to assassinate Trump while he played golf last year is representing himself in court.
